This past week was a week a lamentations. On the Friday before Christmas my Grandma Gail passed away. The next day my cousin, Cody, died in a very bad car accident. We had my grandma's funeral on the 22nd and Cody's the next day. On the morning of the 24th my Grandma Chloe passed away. Three major events in just one week. My primary teacher decided to assign me a talk on eternal families for the fourth of January. I already know what I'm going to talk about.
Though we are lamenting over the loss of loved ones, we know that someday we will see them again. We know that once we pass on that our loved ones will be waiting in heaven to greet us. Even though these sad events happened right before Christmas we still had a great time.

We all felt comforted by the Spirit during those difficult events. Jenn, we are happy you have an understanding of the eternal ties a family has when sealed with God's power.
"You cannot take the sorrow out of death unless you also take the love out of life." ~Elder Russell M. Nelson. We can't fully appreciate joyful reunions later without tearful separations now.
The family outing in Island Park was enjoyable and something we'll remember fondly.
